A decision Lara doesn’t regret

Ex-Miss Universe is quite happy and thrilled. The reason, of course, is her upcoming film ‘Blue’. Well it all started like this. Initially when Lara Dutta was offered a role in ‘Blue’ she was quite apprehensive about signing the dotted line. It was for obvious reasons that Lara held back – she did not know to swim.

So how come she is a part of the film now, you my ask. Thanks to her co-star Akshay Kumar. This guy who yearns for doing something out of the ordinary persuaded Lara just by a phone call.

Lara says “I got a call from Akshay who told me – “take a swimming lesson. If you do not like it then say no to the movie. But take one swimming lesson and see how it goes”. Lara enthusiastically adds “He has this favourite dialogue “Tu nahi toh kaun karega” and he knows that gets me every single time”. And that’s it, the actress went ahead charged up and she did not regret her decision.

Ms. Dutta went for a three-month underwater training and got a diver’s certificate. Later on she had a blast of her lifetime shooting in the sea and swimming with the sharks.

Truly amazing Lara! Lara says “I must say that as an actress, very few times you get anything that really challenges you in a role including something that is physically challenging and I am extremely lucky on that part”.

Going by the released snapshots of ‘Blue’, it looks like the adventure buffs are in for a treat because it is the best adventurous flick ever made in Bollywood. The film directed by Anthony D’Souza tells the story of three friends who go on a journey to find a sunken ship laden with treasures.

While Sanjay Dutt and Akshay play the roles of fishermen in the Bahamas, Zayed Khan will be seen as a showy guy. Lara plays Sanjay’s wife and film also has Katrina Kaif who will be seen in role that has a negative tinge to it.

Watch out for ‘Blue’ to engulf you! Come back right here for the latest in Bollywood.
